Tipp County Finals generally involve at least one and sometimes two rural clubs who’d have very limited local support.
Cork County Finals generally have clubs from big population centres like Glanmire, Togher, Midleton, Blackrock or Blackpool which to be fair happen to be hurling mad places too.
Tipp get huge crowds at games where no one measures the attendance. When the attendance is measured, however, it drops off significantly
Nenagh were in the final last year. Theyd have a big town around them.
The County Board made a complete hames of it last year fixing the Prem Intermediate Final at a ridiculous hour like 12.30 and the Senior Final not on until 3.30 in the off chance the Prem Inter Final was a draw.
The Tipp public revolted and said ‘this isnt on at all’ and didnt show up.

Cork is over three times bigger than Tipp population wise, but per Capita, Tipp outperforms them in County Finals every single year.

For a hurling mad county they should be getting more than 5,000 at a senior county final. Offaly and Dublin finals would get 5,000.
Why? I can’t remember the last time I was at a county senior final but go to all my club’s games.
Some people go to a lot of games and fair play to them but I think most people just go to their own club’s games.
No, if there was Tipp wouldn’t win it ever year and the Cork crowd would leave at half time
Just for factual purposes, its important to clarify, there was 6k at the Tipp County Final in 2025 and 4k at the Offaly County Final. I dont know what was at the Dublin Hurling Final but I doubt it was more than Tipp’s.
Dublin co final generally gets good crowds as it is Sat night.
Other games in Dublin are pitifully attended.
