In a world where most counties now seem to see Sunday’s as a zombie zone, barren wasteland and prefer to fulfil club fixtures at teatime on Thursday and Friday nights, its very reassuring that Tipperary is vociferously sticking to tradition with games up and down the county from lunchtime until darkness on Sunday.
In terms of the Senior Championship, its incredibly even like it has been since Thurles Sarsfields dominance was broken almost a decade ago now, but if i was to pick the top 4 right now, I’d probably go for Loughmore, Nenagh, Holycross and Borrisileigh in that order. Kiladangan could be the one’s to watch despite having a no show in the North Championship.
The Premier Intermediate is literally anyone’s with nothing between those winning it and those that’ll find themselves in relegation - we saw last year with Upperchurch scraping through the group stages and ending up as All Ireland Champions. Swans have lost the last two County Finals but might find it hard to go again having come so close.
The Intermediate will be a right championship again with a top 5 of Clonakenny, Ballingarry, Cappawhite, Kickhams and Arravale Rovers. I think Cappa might do it this year.
I see Boyles have the odds up for the Senior games and its hard not to see at least a couple of draws in those games. Think 3/7 divisional finals played across Senior/Prem Inter went to Extra Time in recent weeks.

Cahill going into his fifth season is the longest stint for a Tipp manager since Babs (term 1). Sheedy did six seasons, but spread over two terms.
Noel is an absolute baller.

Winning that all Ireland may have ballsed up Sheedy’s planned return just as the snipers in cooper helmets were maturing. However limerick’s longevity might mean it could actually suit better to wait a few years yet.

Not true - he took a good look at the landscape and realized limerick weren’t going to be moved for a few years and decided to step away.
I’m sure he’s sitting patiently looking to take over the talent feeding through from the underage teams, but Cahill took the job after Bonnar when Tipp were at a huge low and won an AI against the head. He deserves to be in the seat when the snipers feed through.
Tipperary will never be short of snipers, just short of the lads to supply them with the ammunition.
