Tipperary Matters

Mr. Magnier will be wise to being mugged off a second time.

Every red cent should be extracted from them. Time will tell how far they’ll stretch.

It won’t be though….

It will make 30 million I reckon.

Whereabouts are the land parcels?
And how did they acquire it in the first place?

Is it not just one parcel split by the motorway? They have a wide overpass with one lane for cattle and the other for machinery. It is one of the best farms in the country.

No help at all here.
I had to google it myself.

800 acres. Rockwell College.

Jaysus, that will go for more than 20million you’d imagine. I presume it will come down to Magnier or O’Brien deciding they want it but I take a previous posters point about Magnier being cautious. Will be some prize for whoever gets it. Pre motorway driving along there you could just see it was top quality land and I wouldn’t know good land if I was buried in it.

That would be equivilant of €60k/acre, its around 500 acres. Say 2/3m worth of infastructure on the farm I’d say it would be closer to 20m. As its set up for dairy Magner would have a bit of work to do to convert it to a beef or tillage unit.

You can chalk that down. That’s the way it’s always been.
Some farm of land to have in any case. How’d they acquire it does anyone know……

Sorry I thought you knew the acreage. Milking 650 cows so significant infrastructure in place.

The same man bought John Gibbons home farm and has it leased out to a dairy farmer.

Probably left to them in a will

Can you imagine the portfolio our pal in South Galway is building.

Magnier-esque.

I fear Tipp is gone for good

Closer to 800 currently I think, worth 2 million I heard today. Is that realistic?

Open ended depending on how productive they are. That figure is possible though.

Cull cows making between 1200-2000, in calf heifers making 3000, its fairly realistic.

Culture?

Sure it said it in the article
