Tom Brady - On Tablet watch

Drew Magary has fallen.

Racist. That white supremacist POS had the audacity to win the Super Bowl during Black History Month.

There’s nothing more to be said lads, he’s the GOAT by a distance

It’s clear now that Belichick was holding him back… The few idiots still talking about a ‘systems’ QB have had egg splashed all over their face also. Imagine what Brady could have been with weapons around him all his career? 15 rings?

The last remaining question mark against him is the “luck” he has had. I’m prepared to concede that Brady’s aura forces the opposition into mistakes like jumping offsides, dropping passes and general brainfarts.

On the opposite side of the ledger Brady wins two more without the helmet catch and the Welker drop.

You make your own luck pal. Show me a team that doesn’t get their share of it on the way to winning.

The giants had their share of it as you’ve pointed out. Pats had their share of it… The Eagles a couple of years ago get away with an illegal formation … It’s just highlighted more for Tom because the standard is so high.

But in the biggest of moments, it’s mental mistakes. Tom delivers when others crumble.

small margins have gone for him and against him. Arguably the biggest for him is the tuck rule. I dont think anyone would argue that it shouldnt have been called a fumble. But even allowing that, a lot had to happen after that to win out that year.

In games they lost, there was the championship game against the colts when they went for it on 4th and 2 and it looked like Faulk got enough for the first down, but wasnt given. Again, thems the breaks. A missed point after for Gostkowski cost them against Denver in the championship game for Mannings last season. Getting injured in the first game of the season after going 18-1 the previous year and setting records.

Brady has been in the position to be on that edge of winning games and has had his huge fair share of luck. He has also been really unlucky too. That’ll happen any team, but you need to be giving yourself a shot at least to try get or not get that luck.

So you agree he probably would be sitting on 13-15 rings if he had weapons around him most of his career.

Pete Carroll gifted him a Superbowl. He could never do it against the NFC East.

Don’t be losing the run of yourself now

Stop being bitter.@Thomas_Brady is right.

If Tom Brady had the best WRs in the league around him, apart from just being the best QB working with the best defence, then he would have won the Super Bowl every year.

Lol

Bradys body of work is incredible. It will be interesting to see his story told like Michael Jordans in the last Dance but we are probably a few years away from that. Not only has he created his own dynasty but he has stopped others in their tracks. At various stages in the last 20 years starting with the Rams, , Steelers, Seahawks, and now Chiefs all those teams were either threatening to do back to backs or win multiple superbowls but he beat them in championship games and superbowls. I think the Colts could have won more and Manning was well able to hold his own against the Patriots in playoff meetings but was let down by a bad defence and sub par rushing attack. If Patriots dont beat Steelers in championship game in 2004 Steelers probably have 3 superbowls in 5 years. Trailing by 10 points in superbowl with Seahawks with half of 4th qtr remaining Patriots come back and win denying Wilson 2 in a row. The manner of that loss sent Seahawks into a spiral and break up of that great team. Chiefs could be well on their way to 3 in a row superbowls only for Brady in 2019 championship game and this year. Mahomes could easily be on 3 superbowl rings at age of 25 and well on his way to GOAT status. What Brady did on Sunday probably slams the door on that now.

Very very true. It’s amazing what happened against the eagles when you look back it.

Bill again… Dropped Malcolm Butler and his D couldn’t make a stop when Brady was setting an all time yards record. I think that game was the beginning of the end.

Manning threw 4 picks in 03 and in 04 they scored 3 points in their playoff games. He won his first playoff game against them with the Colts in 06 as I mentioned above. That Manning performance in 03 where Ty Law caught 3 interceptions and Bruschi the other would have been a great watch had TFK been around for it then. There have been 3 playoff meetings with Colts and Patriots with Manning and Brady with it being 2-1 to Patriots. I wouldnt disagree that the Pats defence was better than the Colts, but Manning was poor in the early years in particular from 01 to 06. I’m not sure Colts won a game until their 6th or 7th match up.

I agree with your overall point though, the Pats destroyed other teams hopes of multiple wins or appearances at least or the start of something bigger. Similar to the Seahawks, it’ll be interesting to see if that loss fucks them too. At least with the Seahawks that time it was just a ding dong battle and the Seahawks left it behind, but the Chiefs were badly shown up on Sunday. Maybe that’ll drive them on, who knows, but the template is there to stifle them at least.

I don’t have your memory, remind me of how the Giants got lucky

Only the most famous catch in the history of American Football

The Helmet catch is arguably the luckiest play in Superbowl history…
