Jesus. That is absolutely not the right thing to say in that situation.
2 cunts don’t make an alright sort
I wonder did Walsh take the sky shilling in recent years knowing that the Humphries loyalty would ruin his career.
Or does he just crave the limelight to be the voice that opposes popular opinion.
Well ya, but sure everyone is in that boat

They are interesting points, but I think it’s Walsh’s hubris that has caused him to do this. I believe he thinks he’s untouchable.
If that it so there is a ferociously thin line between hubris and stupidity ( and more) .
Also Walsh said that he knew more about this case than anyone and that he was confident “the truth will all come out in due course.”
The truth in court is that he sent a 14 year old a cock picture and then groomed her over another 2 years and sent several thousand texts.
What truth does Walsh think will come out?
Hook got the bullet for less

Only possible explanation is if Humphries fed Walsh a fairytale that it was all lies etc and that he’d be cleared in court etc.
In that case Walsh should surely have cut him loose when he pleaded guilty and refused to have anything to do with him from then on.
This is far worse than what got Hook in such strife imo.

Giving a character reference is one thing.
If he said the above, with the clear implications attached to such words, he’s a disgrace.

Wasnt the interview from before Humphreys was even charged? Walsh was basing it all on tH version of events at that point. Hes some man to hang his reputation on Sky and TH

He said it in 2012 didnt he? Not recently. Still shite but is Cooper representing the interview as recent?
Paul was still willing to back David at his 7 Deadly Sins book tour.
No, he said it was a previously recorded interview from 2012 which was never broadcast before.

All very fucking bizarre. Walsh must be after having some kind of a mental breakdown

Maybe chasing the whale eventually drives everyone insane, even the ones who catch it.

He didn’t have his usual column in the ST this week.

Didn’t Thrawneen come back from his meeting with Kimmage with the same story?

Yeah, but what I want to know is how a man finds himself thinking it’s ok to start a relationship with a 14 year old. As far as we know, Tom was fairly much a model citizen up until a couple of years ago. Good friends with Paul Kimmage, a man who seems to me to be credibility incarnate. I see it as a breakdown, some kind of mental illness. Maybe that’s way off the mark. But maybe it’s not.
