Tom Humphries thread

Which one? You havenā€™t seen the Cusack statement and you werent in court in listowel so how can you separate them?

Equally bad art. That kerry rape thing was a particularly low point in recent Irish social history.

I do Sid. And it is a stupid one.

They would have played together and known each other before halvey was in Munster squad. Halvey was only really there for 3 or 4 seasons and he left for england after they lost the first european final.

Came back for a season after that but he retired young enough

Fine. They knew each other through their careers is all Iā€™m saying. Itā€™s no more pure a relationship than Humphries and Cusack.

If you knew bandage from playing astro first and then met him working in kpmg for a few years and then continued to be friends with him when ye both no longer worked together would you say your acquantaince was a commercial one?

Halvey and Galwey would have known each other from shannon first and foremost

One is 4 years older than the other. They were hardly mates growing up.

Itā€™s not important anyway. Iā€™m just pointing out thereā€™s nothing intrinsically more noble about their ā€œfriendship.ā€ Iā€™m sure anyone can become friends with anyone else even if they meet them in a commercial context first.

Can we not just agree that both Galwey and Cusack are cunts?

Agreed. The very point I am making.

Do many fathers blame their own daughters for being raped where you come from?

Do you live in some sort of Salafist enclave or something?

Oooffft

Yes, they arenā€™t comparable. One blamed the victim of a rape, the other didnā€™t.

As I said, Iā€™m sure you can work it out.

You havenā€™t seen the Cusack statement and yet earlier you were telling us what was in it.

The link you provided will tell you which reaction didnā€™t ignore the crime.

Youā€™re full of shit

Hook didnā€™t break any law. Neither has Cusack. Youre getting awfully worked up about this. Are you okay?

As I said creeps like you will do anything to get offended.

Answer the question, because you have avoided it.

In the area where you live or come from, do you think many fathers would blame their own daughters for being raped?

Iā€™ll answer the question as regards West Dublin and Galway, where I come from/live respectively.

The answer for both areas, I feel certain, is ā€œnoā€.

Lolz

Where have I blamed anybody for being raped?

What you said is that ā€œWhat Hook said is exactly what any father would say to his daughter or a brother say to his sister.ā€

They wouldnā€™t, trust me.

Fathers tend not to attach blame to their daughters if they are raped. Brothers tend not to attach blame to their sisters if they are raped.

Perhaps you can tell me of such cases where this has happened in your area?
