Tonight's TV - Continuation of earlier drivel

You’d wonder what those lads would have been able to do with the modern day footballs and surfaces.
Thoroughly decent man I’d say.

In my life by the Beatles is one of the greatest songs ever, played just as the credits finished rolling, nothing else would have worked as well, no lyrics even required.

You don’t want to over romantacise players of that era either. The pace of the game was a lot slower than it is now.

That was a lovely show.

John Giles came across as a bit of a creep in that

Is it worth a watch, mate?

No idea. I’ve been listening to records and reading books.

My abiding memory of that creepy little shit ‘gilsey’ is of him relentlessly harassing a table of middle aged ladies in the 108 about 5 years ago.

An episode RTE neglected to cover in their piece tonight.

Yes. You might even spot me in it for a split at Dalymount (I think) at the Bohs Limerick game.

Some of the older footage in it is superb. A great 2 or 3 minutes of Giles greatest passes too. The ultimate playmaker

Ordinary decent criminal just started on TV 3 there. Jesus.

It’s also on RTE 1.

Feminist Louise O Neill on the Tommy Tiernan show there, fucking hell she’s hard work. I was hoping that Tommy would have the balls to take a run at her but he wussed out

Brid Corkery with a little black number on now
