Do Press Up even have anything outside the capital?

Few capt americas franchises maybe. Also opening a hotel in cork later this year called the Dean and modelled on its namesake on Harcourt st

Cork lads will boycott that so.

Surely they’ll call it the Deano?

Kitchen 85 Marlborough St. New restaurant run by the lady who runs the M&L. Specializes in roast meat. I’m having roast duck and pork.

I’d ate that

Any use?

Meat was lovely. Especially the pork. The duck was a bit fatty but that’s duck for you. I’d say they are still in the opening pains phase. Service was haphazard and my rice was a bit cold.

Value for money?

13€ for all of that. So I’d say so.

I passed it last week and for a new place it looked quite busy for lunch. They’ll get good business from the guards minding Patsy Hutch.

In other news I see the Istanbel (sic) House buffet on the same street has reopened following its recent troubles with the Food Safety Authority

Did you know that any decent Chinese restaurants that do Peking duck get the duck from Ireland? In Chinatown in London where you see all the roasted ducks hanging in the window, 95% of them are Irish. They export fuck loads to China as well. Apparently these lads have patented a breed of duck that is class for roasted Chinese duck.

all silverhill duck

Place up on fade st I think - can’t remember name

Micheál Briody chairman of the CPA, is CEO of Silver Hill Farm, a large exporter of Peking Duck to countries around the world.

I’d be very interested to see where that 95% figure came from though.
