Top 10 Irish Restaurants (that spidey visited in a week )
Been there twice for lunch and for dinner but it is two or three years back. My review would be out of date.

I was at a city of culture event in the hotel last summer. I like the ambience there
I was given a gift of a voucher for there so will pay a visit soon.

I went for dinner with the good lady in Asador on Haddington Road last night. I really should dine here more often as it’s a quality restaurant/steakhouse and only approximately 100 yards from The 51. I had the 13 oz ribeye and it was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I was nearly going to take a picture of the food and tweet it because it looked so impressive but I checked myself because that’s complete wanker material. She had the 6 oz fillet and was very happy with it too. These steaks were really high quality indeed and they’re in the €25-€33 price range - a good bit cheaper than the likes of Shanahan’s and equally as good, if not better. We shared a nice bottle of Malbec recommended by our affable and attentive waiter and I also treated myself to the apple crumble and cinnamon ice-cream for dessert. It was a delightful denouement to my meal and she had very positive reports about the chocolate fondant too. It’s a grand place with a decent atmosphere and the food and service was top notch last night. Finally a couple of words about the chips: crispy and tasty. Bravo.

Were the chips homemade mate?

@Bandage can you give me some recommendations of eateries and restaurants walking distance from the Gaiety theatre please

Anyone eaten in Fire lately.

There used to be a lovely little tapas place, The Port House, good spot for a date. It is/was on the street that runs parallel to Grafton Street, down towards the bottom (away from the gaiety).

Thanks, @The Runt, that sounds very rosemantic

You might want to check the quality hasn’t deteriorated but it used to be good. There’s tons of options in that area.

Is this a pre-theatre affair, pal?

Not since it was done up

It is still good. The best Chinese restaurant in Dublin is just beside the Gaiety.

The best, original and most authentic Thai restaurant in Dublin is also close by, The Chilli Club on South Anne St.

How impressive are you trying to be?
