He was after his wallet
McConville took Moynihan for 1-9 in an All Ireland semi final.
Good call on Keegan’s goal.
Also of course Jack O’Shea’s one in 1981 which slipped my mind.
Ronan Clarke at around 20 years of age had the better of him in 2002 as well.
Moynihan was a great half back, didn’t rate him too much as a man marker in the full back line
He was a stop gap at full back that lasted for years.
1 Joe Brolly
2. Dermot McNicholl
3. Sean Marty Lockhart
4. Padraig Joyce
Tony scullion
Johnny mcgurk
Jim McKeever
Tom McGuinness
The 10 best goals in my lifetime in All-Ireland finals, in no particular order are:
Jack O’Shea 1981
Seamus Darby 1982
Barney Rock 1983
Barry Breen 1991
Joe Kavanagh 1993
John O’Driscoll 1993
Joe Kavanagh 1999
Peter Canavan 2005
Lee Keegan 2016
Lee Keegan 2017
I think O’Shea would be at the top of the pile, with Kavanagh’s '99 goal closest
Honorable mentions to Declan Meehan in 2000, Gooch in 2011 and Liam Hayes in 1991
Is Tom McGuinness the last Derry City man to play for Derry?
Spoofer
I think so
He wasn’t so bad
He was excellent in 1987 but lost his pace when he went to St. Kilda
Wasn’t the same player when he came back
