Aidan o shea is surely in the mix.

He went missing in the melting pot stages of all those big games Kerry lost. He was grand against sides like Cork and Mayo who didn’t believe they could beat Kerry, not so much in the melting pot of the big ones.

ye are some boys…

i’d say ye can’t even stand up without help and ye are constantly denigrating the likes of Ronaldo, Messi and the great Gooch

A great bit of stuff.

I saw him give a tour de france against Cork below in Cork as a neutral. It was a joy to watch the way he pulled the strings from out the field.

You had the feeling you were watching a master at work

A great man to cover ground with ball in hand. He had a lovely way about him.

I’m a Bob Radcliffe Cup winner.

Bob Radcliffe was a Fag.

Thuggery and Derry GAH? Shocking accusations :grinning:

5 from the left foot, 5 from the right foot.

Canavan probably cost his county an all Ireland with a needless clear handling of the ball on the ground, a schoolboy error

Changed the game.

A gamechanger.

Redefined insofar as he was a bad outfielder put in goals and looked a superstar in comparison to the dredge who normally played in there. He did push it out of the hole the position was in though and deserves credit for that, and overcoming the few early hiccups he had.

What about Jack O’Shea goal v Offaly in 1981, some team goal and finish @ the end

he got no change out of Seamus Moynihan in 3 championship encounters including a drawn and replayed final, scarcely got 10 touches of the ball over the 3 matches and had to be moved off him

influential otherwise on Galway’s biggest days

highly rated in Kerry, highly rated outside it so I don’t consider him underrated

It is a bit like so many people say John Egan was a great player but underrated. Yet so many say he was great, I am not sure he can still be described as underrated , if that makes any sense!!

Keegan’s goal into the canal end in 17 was a belter.

I’d agree with Meehans goal. A great team move. Started with a ball caught under the galway crossbar.

Canavans goal was a great finish but they had to score there. Galvin was left back minding the house. Tomas had a belter that day as well.

When seamus moynihan scores ten points in an all Ireland final, come back to me, otherwise fuck off back to fleecing tourists.
