theyre using the rationale from JC but i cant see that rationale standing up on appeal. surveillance, especially illegal surveillance is a hot topic in europe at the moment and then you have the 3rd country element. the fact that they listened to the tapes before handing down the judgement also raises the spectre of prejudice, even if theyre judges
O toole blew his beans with misinformation trying to be the first one with the “scoop”
Courts don’t tend to release convicted murderers though.
unless they try and stop the trial now, given how compromised it is. cant see how the court found the gardai to be bone fides given their shenanigans with the surveillance info and data that should have been given over st gary doyle stage
It’s an outrageous decision to pass it off as in good faith or inadvertent alright

Would Gardai know which parts of conversations were in the North?
I think there was two bugs on the car, a gps tracker and an audio bug.
They could probably link the timings & locations together using those.
stealing mac lines now?
Based on reports of Dwyer appeal today I’d have to revisit this and say he has a better chance than I thought.
Prosecution now saying phone evidence wasn’t that important in which case court surely has to kick it back to a new trial and jury without the evidence in question.
