Dowdall only came forward as a witness a few weeks ago. Prior to that the prosecution case would have been completely based around the illegal recordings. And he’s still probably weakened their case.

I’m no legal eagle but from reading a few tweets it looks like the defence has made shit of Dowdall as a witness.
I think anyone literate could draw that inference reasonably enough.
Are the state prosecutors people who are too shit to go private? You’d have to wonder.
