Does this mean we’ll have a verdict or do they take time to deliberate for a few weeks?
The judge in Chris Dawson’s case took a few months IIRC. Presume it’s the same here.

He’ll have made mince meat out of Dowdall by next Wednesday. Laying the ground ground work for the appeal now.
I’d imagine the judge saying that is grounds for appeal already
I was talking to a garda friend of mine last night. He thinks the prosecution must have something else up thr sleeve. He also said he wouldn’t rule out a conviction. The SCC is much easier to get a conviction in than a jury trial.
He is a guard though so this could be a mixture of wishful thinking and scutter talk.
Got to go through the motions of making people think it is a fair trial and the Judge thought long and hard about the verdict even though they probably had their mind made up as soon as they got the case or told what their verdict would be.
Its looks like the States case is all over the place, the recordings they are using were ones that were supposedly destroyed/lost and then when an Assistant Garda Commissioner was going to be dragged before the court to explain what happened to the tapes, they were suddenly found and then Dowdall as the chief witness is looking more and more shakey by the day.
If they had anything you’d imagine they wouldn’t have used Dowdall. He’s like a defence witness at this stage.

What’s the story with members of the public rocking on to this?
I may have a few hours to piss about next Monday and wouldn’t mind watching a bit of Senior Counsel Grehan getting into some heated legal argument with Mr. Dowdall.
Has anyone ever gone in for a look?
If they had something up there sleeve don’t you think they’d have used it when they were setting out their case?
