Aye, it transcends class and status. Due to there being only two english speaking support groups in Stockholm, it’s not unusual to meet the high profile touring musicians that got sober when they visit. All the money in the world won’t get you clean. Then I’ve met the folk who were living in the forest in a tent, and eveything in between. So many of those I partied with, and people I met in recovery who went back to drinking and using, are dead. It’s a frightening disease, that you’re never, ever cured of, but thankfully I found a stay of execution that worked.
