This is really damaging for Fine Gael and Labour, given their clear links to dissos - a prominent disso was appointed as a Government senator only three months ago.

Also, given the Gardai are believed to have had intelligence that the hit was to happen and did nothing, it looks to be a resigning matter for both the Garda Commissioner and the Minister for Justice.

Adams is right

“First of all, if I can just say this, as a little matter which always irks me, there aren’t any ganglands. There is lazy journalism which uses the word gangland as if these communities were lands that gangs inhabited,” Mr Adams said.

“There are gangs and they are clearly ruthless, they’re mercenary, they’re greedy, they’re very, very, very dangerous indeed.”

The timing seems far too convenient.

Most crime reporters on twitter also expressing doubts about the validity of the CIRA claims.
Claiming the incident suits them and suits the real perpetrators.

What happened here is:

There were high level discussions in the Fine Gael party about how they could use this attack to damage Sinn Fein.

They bizarrely decided to phone in a fake “admission of responsibility” to the BBC for an attack committed in Dublin, but accidentally “claimed responsibility” on behalf of themselves and their disso associates.

Idiots

Indeed.

Wasn’t it “Mr Big” who ordered the hit on Vol. Alan Ryan in any case?

Who’s Mr. Big?

I don’t know. He’s an unnamed drug dealer based in Clontarf who the media can’t name so call him “Mr Big”.

What political party will be brave enough to suggest ending prohibition to cut off the financial life blood from criminal gangs?

Enda Kenny, predictably, and with no evidence whatsoever, has tried to link the weapons to the IRA.

The independent De Chastellain commission verified that the IRA’s weapons were “beyond use”.

Enda Kenny thus disputes the findings of the De Chastellain commission on no evidence at all. This is a major issue for him and needs to be raised.

Both Garda and journalistic sources have said that the weapons were modern AK47s imported by drugs gangs.

Enda Kenny is thus undermining the authority of the Gardai in order to score political points against Sinn Fein on deliberately mendacious grounds.

Then we hear about a mysterious fake “claim of responsibility” getting phoned in.

What’s the betting it was phoned in by a Fine Gael adviser?

Fine Gael’s part in this is looking extremely murky.

This is all very reminiscent of the time the conservative Spanish Prime Minister Aznar tried to blame ETA for the Madrid bombings, in the full knowledge that Al Qaeda was responsible, four days before the 2004 Spanish Election, in order to try and deflect blame away from his own incompetence, demonise his political enemies and secure his party’s re-election.The public saw through his lies and threw him out at the ballot box.

why do the shinners, the ra, CIRA, 32 CSM, Vol Al Ryan’s etc of this world go round starting scraps with drug dealers,?
Is yer man Christy Kinahin in the UVF or something? are these drug gangs related in some way to the orange order?
at least slab murphy took on the brits straight up and had no interest in this crap

yeah, dunno how the C/P/R IRA are involved
my sources in gangland tell me this was done by the lads from the Monastery in retalation to yer man Hutch getting shot in Spain by the fella who owns Macklin’s gym and that Christy Kinahin didnt shoot Vol. Ryan so the claim is a hoax

@TreatyStones
who clipped that boxer’s ould man, what was his name “hatchet” kavanagh?
i thought it was Kinahin, why would the his lads then be showing up at the weigh in?

boxing if proof was ever needed is now an activity of utter scum, do normal paying customers go to the stadium to watch these type of events? ( in not talking amateur boxing)
did people outside these eejits even know or care this was on?
is it a place where you’d go off to spend a nice evening with a few lads for the craic?
