Top three sporting events you have attended (cc: of Ewan MacKenna)

Knock yisser selves out.

3 Liverpool v Blackburn May 1995.
2 Dublin v Meath Game 4 1991.
1 Ireland v Holland 2001.

Celtic 2 Rangers 0 - Burley Lambert
Rovers 2 - scumdalk 0
Broncos Rabbithos

I was at both yours and Ewanā€™s number ones. Both were outstanding

Limerick winning the All Ireland (2018 vs Galway, FYI) will never be topped so Iā€™ll exclude that from my list, as well as any Limerick hurling matches.

Been to heaps of soccer matches but canā€™t say Iā€™ve ever attended a classic unfortunately.

  1. Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 1
  2. Kilkenny vs Waterford 2016 (drawn game)
  3. Kerry vs Dublin 2017 League Final

  1. 2016 AIHF - I had complementary use of an executive box in Croke Park with free booze. I was up for the minor match, I couldnā€™t remember the score of the senior match til I looked at it the next day

    1. Ireland vs Italy in Croke Park in a 2-2 draw. A lovely evening. The atmosphere was absolutely outstanding, the tension, the match. The celebrations after Whelans goal were amazing
  2. 2018 AIHF. Best and Worst. I thought one of my mates was going to have a banger in the last 5 minutes of the game, his lips were gone blue and he was breathing wrong, that 5 minutes was fucking horrendous. Like watching a car crash in slow motion, and then the final whistle and the joy.

You must have only been a young whippersnapper back then, Barney. I was at that game too.

The 2005 Bob Radcliffe Cup final.

Yep itā€™s one of my earliest memories attending a sports game. Iā€™ll never forget the crowd and the disappointment afterwards or the four hour drive home.

Would you believe the full 1993 match is on YouTube - Favorite moment when a certain corner forward attempts to rise the ball the full width of the pitch before kicking it out for a sideline in his opposite corner.
Close second, TTowns phantom goal.

Iā€™m going to do the same as @Batigol here, as the 2018 AISHC Final is obviously top of the pile and wonā€™t be bet - Iā€™ll exclude Limerick games, and will do one per sport:

2014 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final (Drawn) - Kilkenny 3-22 Tipperary 1-28, Croke Park

2016 Bledisloe Cup First Tist - New Zealand 37 Australia 10, Eden Park.

2013 Tippeligaen Rd Whatever - VĆ„lerenga 1 Rosenborg 2, Ullevaal Stadion. Still the best soccer football game I was ever at (it was dreadful). Cans on the supporters bus with the 'enga fans afterwards was mighty though.

Yeah, Dewie!

1 1976 Munster Football final replay.

Those Cork jerseysšŸ˜. The greatest game of Gaelic Football Iā€™ve ever seen. In the new Communist inspired Pairc Ui Chaoimh. I think it might have been the first game played there. You can see me clearly sitting on the back wall at the Blackrock end with a load of Cork boot boys.

  1. Second Monday Wimbledon 2016, Centre Court. Won two court side tickets in the ticket ballot. Wonderful day for a tennisix like myself.

  2. Final Nat West ODI series 2005 England v Australia, Lords. Match tied with last ball. Beautiful ground, welter of excitement and lucky to be in a very nice hospitality box.

Honourable mention for the 1984 Munster hurling final and the 1974 Waterford SHC final.

Just watched the last 3 mins of normal time and the bit of added time too. Was roaring at the screen  Some point from Philly to go ahead then Power with his only score to seal it. The speech from Hogan and then the camera zooms in on the coach. @Piles_Hussain proud as punch beside him. The interviews afterwards, Hogan talking away and young Richie hugging the cup with all his might - sure no wonder he turned out the way he is.

Up Callan, a bouy Comerford, up dā€™Lockes!!

The drawn match had been played there previously. An horrible ugly encounter and absolute mayhem getting out of the general area afterwards. It was an absolutely scorching day as well which did nothing for the tempers of patrons stuck for 3 hours in static traffic.
