Are you driving the train? I’m not leaving a tip.
Looks fab.
I have done this one The Pignes tourist train - Official site of the Provence Alpes Digne les Bains tourist office
Tunnels aren’t great. They should have cut them out.
Cracker of a song. Had it on repeat week before last cycling around the place.
Don’t derail the thread
How many GAA Pitches do you pass directly when travelling on the Cork-Dublin Trainline?
One down near Cork, Martinstown, Knocklong, Dundrum, Holycross, Durlas Og, Kildare Town, the one near Adamstown in Dublin…
Any more?
The Martinstown one is stunning, so it is.
You pass quite close to and can see both Sarsfield’s pitch in Newbridge and Moorefield just outside though neither bound on the train line
I forgot Moorefield alright.
It goes very close to Rathdowney/Erril’s pitch too I’m pretty sure but there are trees in the way. @myboyblue will confirm.
Tis Errill you’re talking about
Trumera would be on the train line also
Used to be an aul yarn that Mullinahone were playing Clonoulty in a county final in Dundrum. Declan Ryan was standing over a 21 yard free, as he was lifting to strike the train went by and all the Mullinahone lads on the goal line turned to look at the train as Declan buried the ball in the net
Anybody recommend some train journeys that are incredibly scenic ?
@MichaelPortillo.
A great programme. I love it.
He was on recently taking a train from Vancouver across the Rocky Mountains to Alberta.
One of the passes was so high that the train had to spiral around the mountain to get through.
It was fair scenic.
I’d say this could have been it.
Portillo has a great taste in trouser colors
