Travel advice Dublin

Edit, it’s actually temple street he needs to be at. Does that change the advice @Fagan_ODowd or anyone else?

Makes getting train to Drumcondra a better option even prob only ten min walk.

The park and ride option leaves that a bit nearer to drumcondra station.

You’re on the eastern side of O’Connell St now so that might impact the ease of western getaway post business. However, there’s a Q-Park on Marlborough St & Temple Street is a mere 5-7 minute walk from there up Hill St. Onstreet parking would be very limited around the hospital at 10.30am. I imagine the advice to get the train in from Leixlip/Maynooth direction would hold too, as TS isn’t far from Drumcondra Station. About a 10-minute walk.

Agree with Bandage. Train from Leixlip to Drumcondra. 10 minute walk to Temple st from there.

Hit koffee and kale after mate

Come down the North Circular Road as far as Jones’s Road/Gills pub take a right onto Fitzgibbon Street as far as Mountjoy Square. You’ll get on street parking on Mountjoy Square/Grenville Street. You’ll be five minutes walk from Temple Street. If you are worried about on street parking go to the Q Park that @Bandage recommends. I’ve parked on street in that area for years without any issue though.

I’m very eager to hear what travel/parking option @flattythehurdler * took today.

His pal followed advice and parked up coincidentally near coffee and kale as there were loads of places so he didn’t need to go as far as mountjoy square. He nearly turned back in athenry as the outside lane was snowed under, but it strangely was fine three miles further on. He made it in plenty of time, but didn’t stop for coffee after as he was already twitchy about the bridge in Galway (he stopped briefly at maccys in Athlone). He’s decided that next week he will get the train as it’s a long day both ways. He is delighted with the advice I passed on to him, and very grateful.

TG, I was just going to tell you to check your appointment again as Temple St. is kind of twinned with Beaumont and most of the appointments end up out there.

Has anyone ever done the tour of the Áras ? Hoping to get on it tomorrow morning. @Fagan_ODowd you’ve surely done it?

@THE_LINK_WALSH will surely have done it at some stage.
