@Tassotti do you reckon they’ll bring back the bus to London from Oireland?
I reckon SLatterys could get going again, half of Ireland will be on the dole in six months. They will be coming to London in their thousands looking for the shhtart. Like the 1980’s

I was talking to an auld lad one day and he was telling me he used to get the bus from Tralee to London, it would have taken the bones of 7 or 8 hours to get Dublin by bus alone in those days so I can’t imagine the journey.
He said the bus would pull out of Tralee and you’d hear lads sobbing away for hours not knowing when they’d ever get home again.
The good old days some lads call em.

No it was one way only, it came back full of condoms and porn and nylon tights.
I did it in 92. It was 5 hours to Dublin , 3 on the boat and 8 on the mainland

A lad got on in nenagh and sat beside me, some smell out of him. Was drinking bottles of Guinness and his bag was full of rashers and sausages.
How much was it? Would it be running every week?
I think it was only something like 35 quid. Was every Wednesday as far as I remember.

Valid for 3 years. I might go mental altogether and shwing by Greenland as well while I’m at it. I’m banking on Iceland Air being one of the safer options. Icelandwegians would be in for a fairly grim few years if they went to the wall.

The week before all this stuff blew up, I got awarded a few pound to do a bit of work in Argentina. The work isn’t particularly time sensitive, but I was lining up my flights and accomodation for July and said I’d just hold off a week or two and see what was going to happen. Thank fuck I did. I’ve provisionally put the work back to summer 2021. Not a hope I’m getting on a plane this year

Did it for a couple of summer working trips to London with slatterys. Some sessions took place on the boat. We fell in one time with an offlaly man who was a small subbie based in elephant and castle doing concrete stairs. We laughed until he got us drinking whiskey from the bottle on the bus down to London.
The trip home was better at the end of the summer with a few pounds in the pocket and lots of girls coming home as well.
