Having watched him extensively since he started refereeing I think George Clancy gets a bad rep. He’s made a few clangers, like em all, but by and large i think he’s not bad, and improving.
Poite is significantly better now than he was a few years back, comes with confidence and experience I think
Clancy has been substandard most times I’ve seen him Dan. Seems to like the sound of his own voice a bit too much too.
On the Home / Away thing - I think Ulster will be better equipped than most others to win in Thomond. They’ve done it against full strength Munster teams before and won’t buy into how special a location etc it is. I can’t see them being intimidated in any way and can see them beating the handicap. However, they’ll need to put together their best collective performance in recent years to win it. Munster can grind results out better than any team particularly in knock out games. Ulster need to try and keep the game as loose as possible to have a chance in my opinion. If it gets tight then I only see a Munster win.
Interesting stat on the home 1/4 finals Dan but you shouldn’t put too much weight to that as the worse teams are away for the 1/4’s. Ulster are not an inferior side.
Golf bets going well. One match bet up already and two big priced e/w are in the hunt.
That simply isn’t true, the teams with the easier groups are more likely to get home advantage as opposed to the poorer teams. I would say that a high enough percentage of the home quarter finalists would have come from groups containing Italian sides, same with a high percentage of the sides who got the best runners up spots
Well done ttk. Backed them to win at 5/2 myself. Prob wouldn’t have been arsed had u not also fancied them so thanks. Lets hope your right about Ulster tomorrow also!
Apologies TDB, you may have picked me up wrong. I was applauding the performance of Edinburgh and the success for Michael Bradley. The result was financially lucrative for me too. I also had to put up with a lot of rugby clowns in work telling me I was wrong and that Toulouse would hammer them, so I was quite pleased to see the Scottish side gain the win.
A fantastic performance from an outstanding team in Ulster. Why people refuse to see what’s in front of their eyes instead of listening to idiots, I never know. Ulster will take some stopping in this competition. Massive win financially again.
Good man Anto. Your rugby knowledge is amazing  Just follow me in in the future and maybe you’ll make some.
