TTK's Profitable Selections 2012

Three rugby bets for me today, fancy all the home sides below.

Bet 129

Scarlets (-2) v Leinster. 4 points. 10/11 SJ

Llaneli have a very strong team out for this one. Their backs are formidable, George North starts at 14, at home and I think they could win this one with something to spare. Leinster are weakened side, they are still decent but Scarlets should have too much power for them. Most bookies pricing this at -4 & -5, Stan James go -2, yes please.

Bet 130

Worcester to beat Bath. 3 points. 13/8 Numerous.

I fancy an upset in this one. Home advantage counts for a lot in this contest. Worcester won’t be winning too many games in the prem and they will definitely target this one to get off to a winning start, no better opportunity than at home to Bath on day 1. They are a big physical side, Taulava a big summer signing for them. Andy Goode is solid at this level and they do possess a bit of flair this year with Lemi making his debut. Bath are no great shakes, that rugby league lad Eastmond is playing at 11 but he hasn’t shown anything yet, Barkley and Claassens at half back are average. It’ll be a close game but Worcester will edge it I think, they shouldn’t be anywhere near 13/8.

Bet 131

Connacht to beat Cardiff. 2.5 points. 4/5 Boyles

Connacht are serious value at home to Cardiff today. They always start well, have had a good pre-season and have assembled a decent squad. That’s not taking into account their form at the Sportsground, takes a good team to beat them there. Cardiff aren’t at full strength and if Connacht frustrate them early it should be a routine win.

I forgot about your coments on Zebre, but I remember at the time they were laughable, how can you judge a team, when you never saw them. What you were saying was laughable to the extreme. I hope you stop spouting shit on rugby, because you know fuck all about it.

Edit that Bath and Cardiff won as well, will you ever fuck off you.

Oh good fuck Anto get the fuck out of here you dyslexic cunt. I know more about rugby than you will ever know you absolute simpleton, I know you aspire to be like me but that will never happen. Bath won in the 82nd minute, with a penalty from Barkley, they were 9 points down at the break and 23-21 down after the 80 minutes had elapsed, embarrassing from Worcester that they conceded a penalty so late but that’s life, we were 1/1000 but got beaten unfortunately. Connacht got beaten at home, genuinely surprised by that result, haven’t seen any of the game or read the report so I can’t comment as of yet. Thankfully the biggest bet of the weekend (Scarlets -2) v Leinster was an easy, easy win, they won by 25, never in doubt. In or around a 1.8 points loss on the weekend that could have been a nice profit but for Worcester bottling it at the last gasp. No harm done and on to next week.

TTK badly shown up again.

When was that last time we had a real winner in this thread? I think It’s time Rocko locked it up for good.

Bet 132

Matthew Stevens to get a free ball with no balls yet potted and clear up for a thrilling 155. Stevens is in really good form at the moment so I fancy him for this.

i dont read much of this thread but i saw the other night also he was giving as a banker some rugby team from italy i think who were playing their first ever competitive game together in any competition meaning they had absolutely no form whatsover…
i didnt check the result as to how they got on but even the concept of posting a bet like this so lemmings like Runt can loose their pocket money is a litttle sinister, I presume TTK was wumming when he posted that tip

3/3 for ttk,

Bookies will understand when you explain that Worchester were 9 ahead at ht and connaught usually have a good record at home.

Great tipping.

Its Connacht hbv

Apes

Plenty of seriously aggressive hurlers on the ditch here bawling at TTK.

Considering the amount of stick lads get for afterclaims, it’s fair play to any lad who sticks up his selections with reasoning beforehand and keeps track of the tally.

Good to see the typical Irish trait of begrudgery still around. It’s humurous from lads like Mickee & CM, good banter, but I do feel sorry for people like Anto and HBV* that actually feel that they need to give abuse to a bloke on the internet who is 40 points in profit after 130+ bets over 8 months. Rugby is probably my most successful sport also as proven in here. It’s one of the best tipping threads online, like it or not. if you’ve nothing of use to say, say nothing.

Bet 132

Dublin (-2) v Mayo. 3 points 10/11 Numerous firms.

This is a very nice bet. I don’t see how they have arrived at a handicap of 2. It should be 5 or 6. Dublin are the reigning AI champions, they have pretty much got through to the semi-final in second gear and when they actually step it up they can destroy teams of the ilk of Mayo. Alan Brogan back is massive and although their big negative is their lack of scoring forwards, I am hoping they can turn that around today. Bernard has been poor all season but he’ll step up today. Then you have to take into account that they are playing Mayo. They have plenty to prove and could come back down to earth, again, today. If this game was played 4 weeks ago the handicap would have been 5, I don’t see what has changed since then and I’m getting with the Dubs.

Lovely, I’m all in, we will make a killing on this one pal.

  Get the wheelbarrow ready CM.

Ttk there is no abuse from me, just admiration that when your bets don’t technically come in that you are always proven correct in your selections.

Ad I said, great tipping.

38 minutes to go … Could be messy

I think you’ll find that Dublin won and the bookies are paying out on such a result.

Or at least it was the right bet even though the rabbit outside on my lawn thought that Alan Brogan would hugely doubtful and not match fit at best.

PP were giving money back online if mayo won

Great weekend punting.

Money back on certain markets, goalscorer markets. Match result didn’t come into it.

Two bets in the rugby tonight, I believe bookies are pricing these games directly off the surprise result last weekend where Glasgow stuffed the Ospreys.

Bet 133

Connacht (+15) v Glasgow. 3 points. 10/11 numerous

Massive handicap for a team like Glasgow to cover. Connacht are fielding a ‘weakened’ side but there are a lot of lads on the fringe looking to prove their worth for a possible HC spot. Glasgow are over-rated, will struggle in my mind to cover 15 points, even at home. Don’t be fooled by their 18 point win last weekend, they won’t have things all their own way tonight. If Connacht frustrate them early then it could get messy.

Bet 134

Ospreys (+9) v Scarlets, 4 points, 10/11 WH

This looks a serious bet to me. It’s a Welsh derby, Scarlets have had a great start, Osprey’s have had a mare. Great time for Osprey’s to carry the underdog tag and put up a performance. They are a proud side and will be annoyed with losing at home to Ulster, but embarrassed at getting smashed at home by Glasgow. Expect a backlash. Don’t forget they are reigning Magners League champs who have handed Scarlets serious beatings in seasons past.

Bet 135

Ospreys to beat Scarlets, 2 points. 11/4 PP

Same reasoning as above, good luck if you follow me in.
