Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Oh didn’t know it had started back. Terrific. Might not be as good as it was but that’s a very high bar.

The Gang Group Dates was fucking brilliant. A five star episode.

Agreed.

The three that preceded it were top notch but what kind of shit was that for a season finale?

Anyone watching Better Call Saul on netflix?

Yeah, promising start - very much along the same lines as Breaking Bad if a little more light.

Mike.

Have watched the first two episodes. It has a nice pace to it. Will be interesting to see where it goes

We know he survives so not as tense as BB.

I finished watching The Wire last night. My god, what a work of art and visual poetry. I don’t ever remember seeing a TV show that made me care about so many characters and so quickly after their introduction. The fifth season was a bit weaker than the rest, but still cracking to watch. I’d rate it up there with The Sopranos and Breaking Bad, and it’ll probably only get better the more I think about it.

Better Call Saul has been quality so far.

The latest episode of It’s Always Sunny was superb. Frank dressed as a man cheetah.

Watched the finale to season 2 this evening after finally getting round to it about a month ago or so. Was hooked halfway through season 1 but found the first 5 or 6 episodes of season 2 a bit of a slog but back on track now. Free gaff this weekend so hope to make a good dent in season 3 in the next few days.

Unreal. It’s far superior to breaking bad IMO. Have you watched generation kill from the same makers? It’s only an 8 parted, unreal.

The wire is the greatest show I’ve ever seen, season 2 isn’t the best but after that it’s superb

Sopranos currently No 1 for me. The Wire eventually won me round but it’s 3 or 4 still.

The Sopranos will never be topped… What’s 2 and 3? I’d have the wire 2 meself.

Breaking Bad and The West Wing. My top 4 varies a lot but it’s usually that 4 in differing order, with Sopranos always top. Not sure I currently have a 5th, maybe something like Cheers which was just truly excellent TV.

I haven’t seen it, must do so, though I’ll probably hold off until after the new season of House of Cards

The Wire and the Sopranos were pure genius, I think season 4 of the Wire was the best television season of all time but I can’t decide which was the better show overall.

I actually thought season 2 was excellent, the portrayal of the crumbling industrial areas of Baltimore was very compelling. The Greeks were cool as fuck too.
