It’s getting a bit teen angsty. I’m 12 episodes into the First season, going to stick with through till the end of the season anyway. I did watch the movie 2 nights ago. That was a brilliant movie. The mini-documentary on the disc is even better.
Stick with it.
I just finished S4.
It has become one of my favourite shows.
A few lads I work with started watching it too.
They really like it as well.
Anyone watch In Treatment?
Saw the first episode last night and it was tough going.
Don’t worry, i get it. I just don’t like it. Gave it a go, and it rarely made me laugh and didn’t make me want to watch the next episode straight away, which is a failing really for me and tv shows.
I don’t believe either that not liking a show is a gauge on someones intelligence.
I seem to have irked you 'cos i prefer football to hurling. I’m not alone in that thinking.
Ya, its fear, and ignorance.
and you’ve only 50 'odd more to go so
Don’t worry it starts to reveal itself a lot more by the 5th or 6th
And you’ll see the talent of Gabriel Byrne up close and recognise him as one of the greats.
Also worth noting is In Treatment is Marky Marks biggest winner.
Ya, what the fuck is ya. Bogger bog man.
Did you see the Newswipe series-best-of the other night sid?
Brilliant stuff. The bit on the sky news guy going around the country trying to find the effect of the recession was outstanding.
Found it hard to download, you or mbb know anything about that?
Did you download or what?
No problem here with it
Pulled it down overnight with “Whiteout”
Huh?
Wasn’t saying anything about anyone’s intelligence being gauged on their tv show preferences.
Mad Men probably didn’t make you laugh Kev, because it ain’t a comedy for starters!!!
Doesn’t bother me if you prefer football to hurling.
Saying they are similar skillwise is a different matter again though.
One of the lads in the house has it.
You inferred the intelligence thing, with saying i couldn’t get it, maybe i took it to heart. I just think its like many other shows, central scoundrel character, but there doesn’t seem an end to me, and despite it looking well in the old sense, it is old to me.
I’m sure nothing bothers you about me. You seem insulted though that anyone would think hurling is on a par with football, its back to the hurling snob thing. Thats not a slight on you, i’ve many friends who are the same.
Similar in number, similar in difficulty to coach to young people etc. I don’t accept the argument that you can get a bus load of guys from africa and get them to play, when that isn’t the reality. Its about teaching guys when they are small.
I asking for a wrong thread from one of those Dublin knackers so we’ll leave it for now.
I actually haven’t seen Series 2 yet, only the first one. Only starting Series 3 of Screenwipe now.
That Screenwipe thing looks pretty good Sid, thanks.
Just said it went over your head so I could use the sliotar reference is all.
Yes, I am indeed a hurling snob, as you are a football snob of course.
I do not agree in the slightest with the part of your quote I’ve bolded there.
Old ground now anyway.
Agreed. But i respect hurling, its a great game.

5 in now-starting to like it.
Anyone remember this?
Used to love it. Saw a couple of episodes this week-didn’t age the best.
Not the Mama!
You’re rolling back the years now Pikey, Sunday afternoons on ITV - “I’m the baby - gotta love me!”
