4 episodes into ‘Kin’ and extremely disappointing. The acting is so bad…

The gangsters are so unconvincing.

The main man who is meant to be a feared gangster is so nice @glasagusban would allow him babysit his dog when he goes to the office.

It’s poor.

Gangster dramas have been done to death.

Ciaran Hinds is an experienced actor as is Gillen, Scanlan and Cox. Even Maria Doyle Kennedy.

A strong cast but if the material isn’t there…

I’m enjoying Kevin can F himself on prime. Nothing spectacular but an interesting concept

It’s the casting moreso.

I don’t see it as an authentic portrayal of the Dublin crime scene.

The image I have is that they are chaps who still more or less knock about the estates they grew up in. I couldn’t really see Mr Flashy or the Gucci gang dressed as business men or whoever else operating out of the top of the Marker hotel, living in a 4m architect designed house in Ballsbridge and other such cases.

Generally it just seems so unrealistic.

They should be living out in some fortified estate out in Ballyfermot with bullet proof windows and CCTV systems and loads of gaudy, classless opulence on display.

You can’t get middle class to do Dublin gangsters.

The main lad who came out of jail is dressed as some shaper hipster rather than a scrote who spent most of his adult life behind bars.

They spent a whole episode looking at yer wan wailing after the son got clipped. Very slow paced, shit acting, unrealistic crap. The closet gay boss with the ‘nutter’ son. I’m giving up on ‘Kin’. Rubbish
