IMDB gives it a 7.6 rating. Two episodes in and enjoying it

Is it all action or would you have to watch it a couple of times to catch all the jokes/winks/looks/nods between the characters?

:joy:

Seething.

Let’s do a zoom call and watch succession together and I’ll explain what’s going on to you.

Had anyone watched the third series of American Crime Story - about the Monica Lewinski affair

Is it worth starting

Hadn’t heard about this. The first two were very good.

I watched the first episode last night. It has been on BBC 2 for the last 5 or 6 weeks on a monday night

In a similar style to the previous two. Good cast again, Sarah Paulson, Margo Martindale, Colin Hanks, Clive Owen playing old Billy Boy and Edie Falcao as Hilary.

Any chance of a link?

I’ll put it up for you on google drive if that works.

Watched the first episode “The Wheel of Time” - it’s fine, but its always kind of incredible how “small” the worlds in these shows feel when it’s supposed to be the complete opposite. LOTR’s trilogy did scope in the most impressive way - might be a medium thing though (film working better for ‘big’ fantasy stories than TV). I guess it took quite a while for stuff like GoT and The Expanse to really show off their world in a meaningful way as well.

It might also be because the production feels slightly cheap, despite it apparently being extremely expensive.

Dopesick is very good.

What I find amazing is that some people have unwaverable faith in Big Pharma despite all the blood they have on their hands in order to see their share price soaring. The older generation were able to live long and healthy lives without ever much having to see a doctor or get prescribed a cocktail of medication. What has changed?

A global pandemic.

So it’s a global pandemic that Big Pharma are trying to brainwash people into taking their products over. They have no shame. There’s a tablet or injection for everything these days, odd that cancer is probably a bigger issue now than it ever was before.

Did you prefer when it was called the galloping consumption?
