Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Not in the least, it was just an auxiliary question as I am aware you have watched some scifi in the past and may have an opinion worth voicing on it. Personally I think the quality has gone to shit, but wtih scifi shows are more than often growers than early showers and they’re not being given the chance to grow anymore. Its a shame, because its a genre than when it hits can be quite good. I watched one episode of NOF but it was tremendously poor as was the episode of The Cape I saw. The Event could have had something, but we’ll never know now. Fringe is still the best scifi out there at present.

In the middle of Series 2 of Deadwood at the moment. It’s superb.

Best character in it by a country mile is EB Farnum. Legend.

Anyone ever watch Justified? Have it downloading at the moment for when I finish up with Deadwood.

Hard to pick a favourite out of so many legendary characters. EB’s dealings with Richardson (and everyone else inf airness) were superbly hilarious though, particularly in the 3rd series. I was a big fan of Cy Tolliver when he’d going off on one of his rants, kinda had a 70s badass vibe to the way he’d talk.

A truly great elected representative.

Anyone watch Game Of Thrones tonight?

Yes. I am undecided as of yet.

Yes, I liked it. Will give it a decent chance.

You just liked it because there was a lot of boobs in it.

Anything else decent out there at present? Gave Chaos 20 minutes and turned it off, shocking tripe. Nothing else really jumping out at me at present. Watching S3 of Tara but more out of habit and curiousity than anything. May give Camelot a run out just because it seemed to piss Tubridy off and that makes it ok in my book.

Were there, were there really?

From the guy whose biggest claim to fame is the Lovely Ladies thread.
Nah it’s the incest that does it for me. :o

 I like the fact that TV shows get it, go balls out on the nudity in Ep1, just to get the attention, then move onto storyline afterwards.

Quite a shock ending, hadn’t read anything about the show beforehand so knew nothing about storyline but must admit (will spoiler rest for those who havent watched yet)

the way they’d been builidng the kid up I figured he had a big role to play, but nope, just a big splat for him!

I’m still far from sold on it though, will give it a few more episodes and see how it goes.

Getting back to my previous, is there anything decent on the horizon with regards to new shows? Some awful dirge has come out lately what with Mr Sunshine and Traffic Lights, two truly horrendous sitcoms.

Lights Out with Stacey Keach has been cancelled, must admit I was fan. Not sure it would have held up well to a few more seasons, but as a one season stretch, I enjoyed it.

Justified maybe MBB.

If the Game Of Thrones TV series is as good as the book it will be brilliant.

I enjoyed In Treatment in recent times.

too easy

Mbb,

kid may not be dead, will be hell to pay i imagine in any case, seems like it has potential

There isn’t really hell to pay per se, but it does set a chain of events in motion creating war, mass murder etc. Its basically the starting point for the plot even if it is kind of forgetton about pretty quickly.

Hey, fuck off spoiler boy

Not a spolier at all, very vague. If you didn’t think there was going to be war and shitloads of murdering after watching the opening episode and the trailers then I don’t know what to say. Its that kind of programme.
