Gonna start it tonight, getting rave reviews.
I watched the first episode of ‘The last of us’ there tonight. It has got hyped by broadcasters the last few months like no other tv series that I recall before. For what it’s worth I thought it started quite well but in the middle and towards the end of a long first episode it turned into a bad episode of the walking dead with extras, costumes and sets looking the exact same. It went quite boring and meh for a while. They kind of salvaged it again a bit by the end. I thought the audio was terrible I used be turning up certain parts full blast to hear them speak and then a bang would rattle the whole house. Quite annoying that you have to keep toggling the audio but again this might just be my situation with young kids sleeping above my head and not an issue with the next person. The sneak peak at the end towards future episodes looked unreal so it’s that which will keep me tuning in for now. But for an opening pilot episode it was overall very underwhelming for me.

Disagree, it’s been pretty decent and it’s extremely well-made. In saying that, I didn’t find the game very engaging - I much preferred Uncharted by the same studio - mainly because I don’t like “zombie” media with the exception of 28 Days Later. Saying it is similar to a “bad” Walking Dead is hilarious though, TWD was largely shite.
All in all it’s on its way to being the next big thing; getting huge numbers and my wife really loves it as well.

The first episode of this is excellent - it is basically a murder drama set in a casino with the “detective” being able to always tell if someone is lying or not. Made by Rian Johnson, has a fantastic cast.

Yep, my favourite games from Naughty Dog. The last game they did - without Nathan Drake - called “The Lost Legacy” is my favourite due to its short length. Shame the movie sucked, apparently.

What I meant was parts of episode one were extremely similar to an episode of the Walking Dead when the Walking Dead went to shit. Overall I agree so far it’s much better but episode two was a lot better than the pilot which most people agree was quite boring (which is unusual for the pilot of a high budget new series). The walking dead season one and to an extent two were excellent TV it took a few years for it to turn shit so plenty of time for The Last Of Us to follow suit in that regard yet.
