Other than it being well written, well acted, extremely well made and highly engaging?
Having a big budget doesn’t mean it’s automatically good. The story is made for game pacing, not TV

The first two episodes are fine pacing wise imo, and plenty of big budget shows have shite acting and shite writing (see Wheels of Time).

Happy Valley S3 is very, very good. Sarah Lancashire with an absolute Tour de France in it. Looking forward to the finale next week.

Just watched episode 3 of The Last of Us. Not what you’d expect in a zombie storyline. Great stuff.
