Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Filming is starting now on Season 2, but there’s no broadcast date that I could find anywhere anyway.

What a fucking show though.
Hugely shocked to see Khal Drogo die, had really figured he’d have a big role to play in this. On top of the Seán Bean death its really showing that nobody is safe.

Dragons motherfucker, dragons is where its at!
Start of 2012 I think. Youll be waiting 9 or so months anyway.

Anyone catch any of Falling Skies yet? Had some hope for it when I heard Spielberg was involved but after watching the first 3 episodes I’m a little underwhelmed.

True Blood is back.

Carnivale starting Sky Atlantic tonight

4 episodes into Madmen. Got to say i like it…

Is this Tinnion character some form of Don Draper?

Tinnion is Roger Stirling.

I’m not that fussed by Mad Men for some reason. Have watched the first season and a half and it’s good but it’s not like The Wire or The Sopranos or Gavin & Stacey where you find yourself dying to watch the next episode. There’s something about a 1960s advertising agency that just doesn’t tickle my fancy. Might give her a whirl this evening though - been months since I’ve had a look.

Tinnion = Stirling???:o

Kind of meh on this at the moment.

Great great show. John Hamm has signed up for 3 more seasons (250K an episode) so they’ve obviously got plans for this for a while yet. Will be interesting to see where they go with it from here.

On another note, Entourage has wrapped for its 8th and final season and airs in the US on July 24th. There’s talks about a movie also.

Do you know me KP?

Mad Men is a fucking fantastic show, just sucks you in. Can’t wait for the fifth series to kick off.

How to make it in America is back for a secod series in a few weeks. Saw them filming it in a few locations around town, sadly no sign of Lake Bell so I could slip her my number. Good show anyway.

I don’t have much hope for Entourage season 8. Season 7 was very poor.

I’ve started watching Luther recently, it’s a fine show.

Very decent show alright, with one of the better intro music’s going around at the moment.

Never got Mad Men myself even while appreciating the detail they went to.

Watched all of Chicago Code recently. It’s a good watch. Disappointing it got cancelled but at least there seems to have been a bit of notice given because it doesn’t end the season on a cliffhanger or anything.

Giving Justified another go now. Liked the first couple of episodes but found it a bit unbelievable after a while. A recent Guardian article on its merits has convinced me to give it another go.

Yeah, decent show that. Though i don’t know if it has lived up to season one. Some lovely girls in it.

I bought seasons 1 and 2 of 30 Rock yesterday. I’ll watch it after finishing the box set of Oz.

It gets weirder and weirder.

Ep 2 of True Blood? Havent watched it yet, but Ep 1 didnt get a good reception. Just seems to have gone off the reservation a little, quite literally as it turns out.

30 Rock is excellent Dunph, a wise purchase. I’d also recommend Community, but thats just me.

Have heard a lot of people in and out of the media go on about The Good Wife lately. The name always turned me off purely because I had it down as a chick show, has anyone watched and if so could they confirm one way or the other?

Not much out there at present, True Blood shows signs of life. The new Weeds looks incredibly disappointing two episodes in. At a loss to find any show after that.

There’s a new one show called Love Bites which has a pretty huge cast of known TV actors and actresses but I cant figure out what they want to do with it and again is a bit chickish and may get a short knock.

Breaking Bad season 4 starts in 5 days time. This is tremendously exciting.

Ah yes, am really looking forward to this. Watched them all in one go though so its going to be odd doing it week by week now, but have heard its going to be even darker than normal, which is something for BB.

They’d do well for it to be darker than Season 2…that was pretty fucking grim viewing at times.
At the risk of paraphrasing Nigel Tufnel here, however more dark it is, I’m sure it’s going to be wonderful TV.
