Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Watch Game of Thrones.

Whats breaking bad like lads

Ya? You a big fan?

TN was so bad after 3 or 4 eps I was about to give up on it, but they copped on and moved on the plot a bit which barely saved it from the axe. It has something, just not sure what. I’d agree with you on it.

I started with Homeland from the beginning with little or no hype and loved it. Can see how it may not live up to some of the comments here perhaps, but it was definitely something different given the poor fare from the US of late. I was hoping it would just be a one season thing though as I stated here and feel it may struggle with another season or two.

Give GOT a bit more, but if you dont like it after 4 or 5, its not for you and after reading a few of the books its not going to start making any more sense thats for sure.

I am currently moving through S01 of Dexter and am really enjoying it.

Half way through season two of Mad Men. Very enjoyable fare.

Is season two of boardwalk empire any good?

Ya it could have been one great 16 or 20 episode season. I fear it’ll end up Prison Breakesque

Have watched a few episodes of Breaking Bad, not mad keen on it so far.
Have watched first ten episodes of West Wing, excellent. Really enjoying it.
Also watched the first two episodes of Cracker again there at he weekend, savage stuff. 1993 but you could fucking smoke everywhere!

Not sure if its been discussed here, has anyone watched Boss? Excellent show, Kelsey Grammer is very good and it features the rideable Connie Nielsen and the incredibly hot Kathleen Roberston

Dan, I’m watching the first few series of West Wing now, still good stuff, through the sometimes twee ideology gets a bit annoying at times.

Sid, Family is brilliant alright.

What is the general forum concensus on Love/Hate? I’m watching the seond series on Aussie TV now.

Awesome, a must see.

Ya, S2 a massive improvement iMO

I was underwhelmed by Boardwalk Empire, the second series is not much better from what I can see.
The thing that really annoys me about it is its set in the 1920’s, but the theme music is a jangly 1960’s guitar piece, I can’t marry the two.

Press mute so the next time, don’t think the theme song should determine or even influence an evaluation of a tv series.

It has to Kev. What would only Fools and Horses be without the theme music? Yes Prime Minister without Big Ben at the start? The Young Ones without Cliff? Edge of Darkness without Claptons best work? Glenroe without the music everyone in the country subconciously whistled throughout the 80’s? Its an integral part of every series.

Thought it was very good anyways. One of the best thing RTE ever did. Think they are looking at syndicating it

Wait until you get to the Two Cathedrals episode, best television ever. A pearl of a show Dan.

I’d agree with that. Plenty of tension in the final episode but when it ended I had no real appetite to start watching a second season. They could have ended it really well but they’ll have to drag it out now. Thought it was a bit inconsistent too (the “proving himself” bit was nonsense at the end).

The bit that pissed me off…
It was good overall but they are going to ruin it.

You may want to spoiler that Julio

Ya wasn’t thinking. Deleted it there I’ve forgotten how to spoiler
