@Big_Dan_Campbell scratch that - Iām halfway through season 3 and itās top. Iām back in London in a month and itāll be whiskey neat all the way
Not like Lee no?
20 years later, Iām finally getting stuck into Deadwood. Brilliant television.
Penguin is ok
Itās a great show tbf.Pity it ended so abruptly.HBO had some savage shows around then.Six Feet Under,Oz,The Sopranos,Carnivale and The Wire. Some of the greatest TV ever made.
Iāve just finished Peaky Blinders, only took me two years (I missed it when it was on originally). The whole Mosley thing was daft and didnāt work, but otherwise it was incredible. Murphy is brilliant and the soundtrack is wonderful.
Iāve started watching Love/Hate now, again something I didnāt get to watch originally. Fucking hell, the jeans in those days.
Theyād be lads on here who would still wear them
You typed that while looking in the mirror didnāt you?
They made a movie to close out the loose ends was set about 12 years after events afair. Wasnāt the worst but came far too late
On my to do list
Really good. Iām only coming to end of season 1.
I never knew that
All incredible shows on that list above and of course Deadwood too. That was some era for TV, we didnāt know how good we had it. Iād say Lost was around then too. Nowadays you might only good a classic tv show every couple of years.
Your expectations are just too high now. You think everything should be sopranos quality from the off
Precisely. Everyone wants instant gratification now. No one wants to let something build and grow. Cheers wouldnāt have made it past a season in this day and age and The Wire would have struggled too.
Al is a very good character
Me or people generally? I love a slow burner personally but point taken that peopleās attention spans arenāt the same as a decade or two ago.
Canāt get my head around Colin Farrell as The Penguin.
Industry had a mostly cracking season 3 but tailed off a bit in the last episode to line things up for season 4.
The Rishi episode was top notch - came across a few cunts like this back in the day
