Started watching Our Friends in the North
A bbc drama from the mid 90s starring Daniel Craig, Mark Strong and Christopher Eccelston. Follows four friends from Newcastle over the course of 30 years and how changes the English government intertwined with their lives. Three episodes in, each an individual year in the 60s and it is a great watch.

The Jackal bit bad fare. Cant believe i empathised with a pair of loyalist cunts but thats where this lead bitch mi5 character takes things.
It’s a good auld watch,I flew through it yesterday evening.The only drag on it was the wife/family storyline.No need for that distraction.The MI6 wan was a bit of a cunt.
I remember watching that when it aired.A wednesday night at half 9 on BBC before Sports night iirc.An excellent series
