Still following your father around like a calf?!
The Tinkers daughter wasnât much of an actress either. I think she finished up on Fair City!
She wasnât allowed on a bastion of acting quality like Fair City.
I think she was in Glenroe.
Silent Witness has been a guilty pleasure of Mrs Jones and I for years, the latest series has pretty much disappeared up itâs own hole though
I heard Mick Lally being interviewed on radio one time talking about his early acting days when money was really scarce and he came out with the immortal line.
'There is no shame in poverty, but itâs an awful fucking inconvenience!
That season four finale of Industry was good. Overall I probably enjoyed other seasons more when it was more office based or trading floor based but you have to admire the evolution of the show. Thereâs one season left and theyâve a chance to create a really great TV show here with a lasting legacy if they nail it. Itâs all set up for them now and theyâve form for doing everything well. Iâd like to see the arc at least 50% follow Whitney on the course he took.
Heâs have been a bit auld at the time to be running off with the tinkers daughter.

This was a Hollywood film.
I have half the final episode left⌠but while i agree it was a bit better when focusing on the office dynamics and character friction- you cant make a show about money without covering those who pull the strings at the top.
Theyâve revealed a layer each season and now weâll surely see the illuminati unmasked ![]()
But itâs enjoyable fare all the same
I completed a Lost rewatch recently, it has been ongoing for a while. I really enjoyed it at the time but like most felt let down by the final season overall.
The rewatch wasnât really planned as a start to finish job, I really just wanted to rewatch âThe Constantâ but said Iâd rewatch the Pilot first as it still is regarded as one of the greatest Pilots of all time. But after the Pilot, I watched another, and another and so it went.
Perhaps itâs the different stage of life Iâm at now, ones age, ones mortality, children and more importantly our parents, but I absolutely loved it. Even the final season, with all its flaws, held up imo. Fuck it, I even enjoyed the finale.
Iâd put it Top 5 of all time. A brilliant show, obviously with its flaws, but Jesus itâs high points, emotional arcs, they are utterly sublime.
Lots of favourites but itâll always be Desmond I think.

the best ending ever to a television series too. Iâm jealous of anybody watching it for the first time
Blitzed through The Shield in maybe six months there. There were a few seasons where it dipped a little but the final season was top notch. Fantastic finale as well, which was directed by Clark Johnson, who directed lots of episodes of The Wire and played Gus in the final season of it. Johnson makes a small cameo towards the end of the finale too.
The Shield is a great show.
The Pitt is having a fantastic second season. Feel like itâs bubbling nicely for an absolutely mental climax.
I think itâs being released in two tranches a few months apart? Iâve a feeling i read something like that before
10 months in storyline between season 1 and 2. Each season covers a single day shift. Kinda keeps it fresh imo.
