Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 2)

I’ve seen it… but not sure if i finished it out

The Westies. A bit cliche Noo Yawk Oirish but the double-dealing with the Eyetalians is good craic

I’m watching Cheers every evening on TG4 with my kids who are now mostly of an age to get the humour.

I’m following in the footsteps of my own father who I remember watching it with my siblings and I every Thursday iirc.

Kirstie Alley was a fine looking woman.

Also started watching the latest season of The Bear.

Cheers is unrivalled

Fantastic stuff. Stick with it if you can until the end because the last episode has a gas ending. Kareem Said is one of the all-timer HBO characters.

I remember when I watched it first I was living with two fellas from Mayo and the theme-song drove them absolutely ape. It has a charm about it though.

It was a great show. That was peak HBO.Oz The Sopranos 6 Feet Under and The Wire were all on around that time.I started a rewatch of NYPD Blue there, its a great show with great characters. Lots of future famous actors in it doing bit parts in the earrly seasons. And Andy Sipowic, what a character.

Furious decent

Westies improving. Clunky as fuck at the start. Hoffa a great character.

Tires with Shane Gilis is a gas watch, better each season

Some hotsy totsy female lawyer was giving Sipowic a lecture one day and finished it with a Latin quote ā€œIn ipsa curiaā€. Sipowic responded by grabbing his crotch and saying "Ipsa this ya pissy litte bitch!

I thought the first few episodes of the Westies were grand enough but it went to shit after they started dealing. Turned it off halfway through episode 6 thought it was a loada bollix.

I went the opposite way.

Still clunky vut like Sons of Anarchy. Dont think too hard about it and will.fill an hour

Off to a decent start

Just finished Season 2 myself.
It’s very good alright.

I think the first season was a bit hard to understand exactly what was going on.
They remedied this in Season 2 and made it easier to follow and understand.

Having American CIA agents based in London with field-operatives in Iraq and Africa didn’t help.
What with MI5 having their input as well.

The cast is of course top class with Fassbender excellent as usual.
I wish he’d make more movies…

4 episodes into Widows Bay and I am enjoying it. A supernatural dark comedy set on a small fishing island off New England.

Matthew Rhys plays the bumbling mayor of the island

Watched Widows Bay, From, Mobland & The Lioness in the last three months, all very enjoyable.
