That crooked bastard Lowery just on there

Sad when you see the towns that bands used to play in. Shinrone, Ennistymon, Carrickmacross. You’d be hard pressed to get a band to play outside of Dublin now.

A litany of noble outposts there. Johnny Cash once played in Rooskey believe it or not.

Philly McMahon speaking very well on Sports Stories on Virgin Media 2 at the moment.

Very rare you’d hear Philly giving an interview.

Could this be “the media shy” Philip you’re referring to?

As @myboyblue would say philly is the best of us

Maybe he’s got some new stories to tell.

The dubs do wonders for the GAA with regards to reaching wider audiences … polished lads with a social conscience instead of some forked tongued Muldoon with half his head missing as a result of a bitter local championship game between neighbouring parishes …

A look at the life and times of Sir Rod Stewart starting on BBC2 now.
Couple of hours of Rod classics if that’s your thing.

He buried his brother the other day (88).

He played in Moate too - it was referred to as ‘the night of the flying wheelchair’ as one was fired at him from the audience.

Loaf stomped off and was up for leaving but was persuaded to get back on stage before someone (him) got killed by irate patrons.

He got back on stage and gave a rousing tour de force.
