Eubank and Collins have mellowed well with age. Paul Howard is always good value. I’d forgotten half the messing that went on. Noel C Duggan and the bowl of soup for Barry Hearn! Collins and the Irish Wolfhound.

I always wondered where Collins is nowadays. He has no real profile in Ireland. Is he involved in boxing in any way now?

Eubank seems to have aged into a real decent bloke .
He was never the same fighter after the second Watson fight where Watson nearly died and was brain damaged for life. The greatest fight I’ve ever seen live. Watson had it all but won after being chiselled in the first fight, he had Eubank down at the end of the 11th and then Eubank immediately came back with an animalistic attack that decided it. Eubank’s heart was never in it afterwards but there was still lots of money to be made.
That sort of shit has to change you as a person especially when the victim is your direct peer.

That was tremendous. Eubank is like a fine wine. Tony Quinn less so. Collins was a tough man and a great boxer but not very likeable. I can’t believe Roddy wasn’t utilised. It was like Paidi leaving Maurice Fitz on the bench
