Chewy are Parteen still in the intermediate championship ? They beat Meelick last I heard.
I was out there a few weeks ago and watched a titanic struggle between Parteen and Meelick in ladies football. Club seems to be going well with lots of youngsters knocking around.
Not 100% sure but i think Parteen ae involved in a three way play off with Ogonnolloe and Crusheen for the last semi final spot.

really looking forward to this. should be a very good contest. thurles will suit the type of pacy players we have i feel. if we can get running at kilkennys defence we should pick up a lot of frees as they don`t like letting lads past them at all.

We’ll require an excellent performance from our free takers anyway. I’m not sure I ever saw a hurling team foul as much at the Kilkenny team in the 2009 final, and they weren’t half as cynical as this group. The stuff they used get away with in those Kierans-ASR games was crazy.
Getting out-goaled would be the biggest fear tomorrow night. I don’t think they’re going to beat us unless they manage that.
i agree with that. the problem for kilkenny is that our forwards are pacy and will be smaller than their opponents for the most part and refs tend to give fress to small lads faster than big lads.
Kilkenny have 11 lads who started the 2010 A/I minor final between the sides. Clare have 6 in Taeffe, Flanagan, Morey, Galvin, Kelly and Collins. McInerney and Cunnigham would have come on as subs in the final

Hard to call this one, I think both sides have weak areas which their opponents are well set up to exploit. Clare’s performance will need to be far better than in the Munster final, but I’d expect they’ll up it a few notches. It is a strong Clare team and seems to be one of the weaker KK ones, v few seniors. Hope there’ll be a big Clare support tomorrow, but was surprised this week at the number of people who said they aren’t going.
