Iâm trying to think of a football manager analogy to Liz Trussâs premiership and I canât.
The Brian Clough at Leeds analogy doesnât work on any level except time because Brian Clough was a managerial genius.
The Big Sam with England analogy doesnât work because Big Sam had a 100% record with England and was an excellent manager in his own right. He commanded authority.
The Stephen Kenny with Ireland analogy doesnât work because Stephen Kenny is still in the Ireland job two years later.
The closest managerial analogy might be some no mark like Alain Perrin at Portsmouth. But he didnât get relegated.
The closest football analogy I can think of is Ali Dia.
