Uk affairs, The Double Lizzie Crisis (Part 1)

Corbyn did well there. Really considered answers and showed that he was actually thinking about what he was saying as opposed to just reciting slogans.

Paxman has lost his touch however. Des Lynam-esque. That always happens high-profile broadcasters when they leave the BBC.

Nor would I, but some viewers might see it as a grilling you have to accept as potential PM

Not sure he was ever that good to be honest. Badgering is his only mode

I hope he badgers the hell out of the fox hunter.

Overall good for Corbyn. Probably only the last bit on strikes against terrorists likely to play badly

Captain Mainwaring asking a tricky one about the dementia tax

Explaining = losing

She’s done it twice now

She’s so fucking boring that nobody will be listening to the detail. Perception of trustworthiness is very important for her

And consultation twice

So there was no cap but there is now a cap but we can’t tell you what that cap is and it’s going to be a bloody high cap because we were going to take all but 100k off you before the u-turn which we HAVEN’T done.

This mystery cap was a bizarre solution. A u turn but it’s useless because nobody knows if they’re covered by it

People laughing at her. This ain’t going well

She’s a cretin who got lucky.

And that’s what people remember by far the most from this sort of programme.

Think a guy in the crowd was mouthing “that’s bollocks” there

I wonder is Boris getting his team ready?

May talking about increasing funding for the NHS. Her cabinet members have more than once been caught out on where the “extra money” is coming from. It’s coming from “within the NHS”. Erm, that’s not extra money.

Imagine saying that “the average person will get £100 extra per week in wages under the Conservatives. The extra money will come from your existing wage, which will not increase”.

That’s called making efficiencies. The NHS is a black hole but it’s the national religion of the UK. The ultimate sacred cow.
