Uk affairs, The Double Lizzie Crisis (Part 1)

The enemy of my enemy and all that

May hasn’t a fucking clue. You can imagine the EU chief negotiators pissing themselves laughing at the prospect of facing herself and Boris during the Brexit divorce.

It’ll be like a game of wiff waff

Watching it here on the +1. Jaysus he filleted her.

You wouldn’t either, as Ireland uses the metric system.

And they wouldn’t be pissing themselves with JC and McDonnell across the table? Two clueless Marxists, good luck.

There will be some hilarious twitter jokes and memes about May between now and the election and then… the Conservatives will get voted in. Corbyn running a country, it’s just not going to happen, the people know he would run it into the ground.

I’d say that to the average female voter Jel came across as a more likeable sort than the PM.

Everybody knows Jezza won’t win the election. The point is that Mrs May called an unnecessary election to give her enhanced authority in dealing with Europe and instead she has diminished her authority.

The Scottish result could be crucial in determining whether she gets an increased majority at all.

That depends on the result.

I’m not sure it does to a large measure. Her mediocre intellect and political skill set have been laid bare during this campaign.

Rubbish. It’s about the result. If she increases the majority to a comfortable level she will be fine.

Don’t be silly. You don’t think anyone with a bit of ambition in her party who has watched her bumble through this campaign, won’t chance a heave at the first sign of trouble? And you don’t think the Europeans won’t find themselves nodding in agreement with Paxman’s assessment of her as a blowhard that collapses at the first sign of gunfire?

It is about the result.

How has Donald Trump being lampooned in the media and criticised in the media worked out for his rivals/detractors? He has the power.

Corbyn’s performance was deemed not to be satisfactory in his first year by his MPs, but he had the power where it mattered in terms of a Labour leadership contest.

When many in Fine Gael, including most of his front bench, wanted Kenny gone in 2010 he stayed there. Kenny might have been a bumbling performer for most of his career but circumstances helped him.

It’s about winning. Granted, if she fails to increase the majority to a comfortable level she will be in trouble in time, when Brexit really kicks in. But going on about the campaign now as a definite knock down for her is premature and shows a lack of perspective.

Ah sure believe what ever you want to believe Tim.

That’s more a statement for yourself.

You don’t seem to care about the actual result and have made your mind up.

I believe in facts and results.

Good for you, Mr Gradgrind.

Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of cheerleaders on here agreeing with you whatever the result.

If she doesn’t increase the majority to at least 50 she will have failed.

I’d agree with you there.
