It isn’t a binary choice. I would have voted for the Lib Dems because they were not proposing a referendum.
You are windmilling on the issue. Corbyn is a long time eurosceptic who opposed entering the EU, Maastricht and the Lisbon Treaty. Corbyn does not equal Labour winning in 2015.
His manifesto was as wishy washy on Brexit as the Tories.
You have to give Corbyn and his allies credit. He was able to be wishy washy on Brexit as the Tories are themselves, the SNP are the SNP and the Lib Dems were led by Tim Farron. He managed to win back UKIP voters whilst at the same time keeping the youth onside over Brexit.
Corbyn has always seen the EU as a neo liberal conspiracy and is really non plussed about leaving.
If Corbyn got in it would have been very interesting what he did over it. I suspect any move from the freedom of movement would have had the yoof crowing louder than after they threw their toys out of the pram at Nick Clegg over tuition fees.
It’s a blessing for Corbyn and Labour that they didn’t get in.
Utterly hypothetical . The bottom line is there was a referendum and most of the political class wanted to Remain . Are you saying that referendum is a bad thing ?
Shouldn’t take you long. I have also declared as an agnostic if that helps. Most rational people are agnostic atheists, but may still follow a “religious” philosophy like Buddhism or the reported teachings of Christ.
No, because a Labour government under Corbyn would result in far worse economic consequences than Brexit. Inflation, unemployment, a reduction in tax take, corporations fleeing, strikes, worse pressure on sterling than there currently is, bloated civil service, eventual bail out from the IMF because their costings are fairy tale economics.
However students would have had a warm feeling from free tuition and useless cunts like you, who add nothing to society, might have some more benefits.
First of all, you do realise Jeremy Corbyn wasn’t the leader of the Labour Party at the 2015 general election?
You realise that under, say, Margaret Thatcher, people were actually paid to go to university, and that the current UK university fees system discriminates in favour of the rich, therefore increasing inequality, destroying social mobility and perpetuating an utterly failed economic model?
That’s what you want though, isn’t it?
Because your beloved Tories have already brought some of the things you mention above, and the others will soon follow on, and clearly you’re fine with that.
Magic money tree policies. In fact the Tories have a tree as their logo, which is terribly appropriate.
Lucky they magicked up enough money to fob off the DUP.
I have no problem with a billion pounds being spent on the North. In fact I think it’s a very sensible thing to do, even if, as in this case, it’s an obvious bribe, and as you say the money will circulate throughout the economy there. That’s what money does when it is spent.
But here’s the thing. You’re now applauding the exact same thing in relation the the North that you consistently rail against - in fact you’ve just been railing against it in your last couple of posts, before now doing a u-turn.
But of course, we all know there’s nobody better at doing u-turn than Tories.
Yes. It’s been a disaster. Wages have plummetted more than anywhere else in Europe. An absolute basket case of an economy.
Nonsense. Lowest unemployment rate in the larger EU countries. Why do socialists hate people working and only care about how much free money is available from the government.
Money does not grow on trees. It gets produced by productive labor, there is no free lunch, someone is paying.
