Disappointing to see Nigel rule himself out of contention for the big job. On the other hand Nigel is merely staying true to his word – he did say it wasn’t possible to lead the party from Westminster. This is especially the case with Nigel taking a real leadership role in the Palace of Westminster these days what with the nerves generated by Dave’s rather precarious majority and the leadership of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition being in such unreliable hands.

Jesus but she is some country in fairness. The amount of old medieval towns, Cathedrals she has, and the countryside, is their anything as bucolic as the English countryside? Lovely quaint villages, with white clad lads playing cricket on the green. Then her wild untamed moors and mountains.
