UK general election 2019 - corbinned

I’d say there are other clubs far more worried about that :joy:

You’ll have the usual shills proclaiming that Nissan were pulling out anyway due to “global trends”
Anyone thick enough up there to vote for brexit will easily be thick enough to believe this.

Good win in the championship BTW.

Prime Minister Johnson is the 14th different Prime Minister on her Majesty’s watch. Sir Winston Churchill was the first. She’s a remarkable lady.

Championship was a strange match. a point up at half time against the run of play and then 5 down after 10 mins of second half and it just turned and we destroyed them in last 20. I thought we were done for.

What actually happened was that I pointed out a few home truths about you and your friend and you squealed like a baby

Anything that leads to a connexit is a good thing

I suspect they thought so too. Some fairly high profile migrants on their team as I understand it.

Must have been as they were much better than county team

Jaysus, the county team were strong enough. Ye must have played out of your skins.

Irish media reporting of the fall out of the British election is like the world has caved in. Undoubtedly many elements were hoping for a good result for labour where they could form a rainbow government with other parties like Lib Dems/SNP. But there seems to be a lot of angst at the possibility of the break up of the United Kingdom and around the question of Irish unity. Irish unity is something that the media in this country cannot countenance and will happen organically in the next decade. It is as if it represents some form of existential crisis for them.

There also seemed to be a dichotomy between perceived momentum from on line social media driven campaigns and the doorstep and people interacting on a personal level in real life. It goes again to highlight just how much of an echo chamber social media can be and skewed towards the socially liberal 25-34 demographic.

No Tory seat or remotely close to one in Liverpool or Wirral

Liverpool told the Tory scumbags where to go again

Interesting theme, not only did Labour not engage with tactical voting they purposely mobilised against it.

That’ll be great for them. They can be the pretend government of Liverpool.

Prime Minister Johnson - “There’ll be no further referendum on the Scottish question”. That’ll put it up to Sturgeon and the layabout rabble rousers.

The Krankies won’t like that.

Can anyone see any route to another Scottish referendum?
I can’t, but if they are dragged out of the EU, it could get a bit nawty.

There have been suggestions that if Johnson won’t grant a referendum it may be that the Scottish Asembly calls one itself. That wouldn’t be binding on Westminster of course and Sturgeon has said previously she wouldn’t go down that road but after last night’s results who knows?

To what end though?
Sturgeon will end up getting arrested in Switzerland or Brussels for treason.
Is there any leverage on johnson at all??

Can’t see much leverage and he sitting on a majority of eighty.
