ya couldnât bate that lad hard enough balbec
Another tour de force by the Smiths here. Worcester at least off the mark now.
Tristan Burke and co. comfortably through to the final.
Weâre about 12 minutes away from the 2012 final.
Canât wait for this. Missed the second semi-final. Did cunt face and his fellow cunts from UCL win?
Glad to see they must have lost. I can happily go against Tristan Burke and his Manchester cunts now. All Irish surnames and they didnât even know that Collins quote. :shakefist:
Ah cock. Thought there was a comeback on then.
Camilla Parker Bowles giving out the trophy.
Incredible scenes here with Camilla Parker-Bowles presenting the trophy in Clarence House.
Outragious scenes
Paxman has to cut across an excruciatingly awkward conversation between horse face and the cunt to get her to give him the trophy.
Is the final shortened by a couple of minutes to allow for the presentation?
Yes. Iâve always thought they should alter the regular schedule for such a prestigous event by giving 45 minutes to the entire programme.
Agreed. It should be similar to the days of the 30 minute editions of Countdown when the final would always be 45 minutes with two conundrums. It really separated the best of the best.
I find it quite unsettling that the final is in fact shorter than all the preceding rounds and an affront to the high standards you expect from University Challenge.
Indded. I feel the final of Countdown has now been cheapened by the fact that its format is no different from a regular edition.
Poor ending alright. Hilarious awkwardness at the end but there is no excuse for shortening the quiz.
I believe that Countdownâs more fundamental problem is that the show as a whole has been badly damaged by the constant chopping and changing of presenters since Richard Whiteleyâs death. I donât even know who the current presenter is, I hear that Jeff Stelling has left the show.
I believe it is Nick from The Apprentice. My mother reports that he is doing a fine job, but she wouldnât really be one to criticise. She does watch a hell of a lot of quiz/game shows though.
Pugh(think it was his name) was sensational in defeat tonight. He got off to a shaky start and as he got some questions correct he shook some more and was going beserk with nerves as he dragged his team back into it.
The captain on the winning team reminded me of your man serving the turkey in scary movie. He held his hand up like a claw for the whole quiz.
Rather like Christmas, University Challenge seems to come earlier every year. Back at 8pm tonight.
Very poor standard here. Jackson-Bond would get it though.
