I couldnā€™t give a bolox about the us president coming to Ireland. Itā€™s insufferable watching the paddy whackery of the whole thing. Surely Biden would be better off back home trying to stop world war 3.

Oooooooft

Debatable, Neymar at least actually scored one goal in a World Cup knockout game.

Heā€™d be above on the bank in the car watching every training forensically with the other auld lads at this stage. And praying that the club tickets donā€™t go digital because he doesnā€™t have a smart phone.

Joe Biden should have done a better job of hiding his utter disdain for the UK. It looked a calculated effort to denigrate them. The current leadership most certainly deserve it, but they have fought side by side for generations. There is absolutely no doubt that this very public humiliation was well earned, but poorly served. A truly great statesman would have avoided it. Itā€™s antagonised one side of the GFA, and whilst it may have cemented a few Irish American votes, I doubt many Irish Americans (whatever they are) are swing voters.
It was unnecessary, no matter how personally enjoyable.

They humiliated them over Suez in the 50s and the Brits came crawling back. Thatā€™s the calculation. The Brits need the Americans far more than the Americans need the Brits. Thatā€™s the long and the short of it.

Iā€™m not sure Biden has any idea what heā€™s saying.

Youā€™d be quite the fool to believe that

Dry your eyes mate

How did he show disdain or humiliate the Brits?

He claimed Rob Kearney beat them up.

The British made their beds when they started tilting towards populist bullshit politics and pandering to Trump. They made their bed and they can lie in it now.

There are about 5 million pro EU people in Ireland. There are over 17 million in the UK, bit morons like @gilgamboa would rather call the catch cries of the clown.

His complete disregard of Sunak, who may absolutely deserve it, but I think itā€™s clumsy. The Brits pander to America about as much as paddy. They should have told GWB to fcuk off when he wanted to commit genocide in Iraq, but we cowardly cheerled hat disgraceful act just as much. The French showed they are a proper country. I despise forelock tugging of all sorts. Itā€™s demeaning.
