Unpopular opinion:the bottle return scheme is the biggest crock of shit ever created.especially when i already recycled and we are just been charged more.

Apparently recycling under this scheme is better for the environment than normal recycling. I only found this out recently.

That seems to be a very inconvenient fact for the opponents of the scheme.
I donât think theyâll have a serious argument to counter it so instead will come up with more bullshit based on vague allusions to feelings and feeling threatened or inconvenienced or feeling that their manhood is under attack from it.

We need to really focus on reducing and reusing.
A couple of wrongful killings out of hundreds of thousands of arrests and successful deportations is not a bad ratio.
91% may be coming back. Id wonder is that genuinely recycled or just the return rate? As in, it goes to rPET flake where there would certainly be some loss in the process. What then is the rPET being recycled into as plastic can only be recycled 2 or 3 times back into bottles.
The bigger play was getting a clean, pure supply of aluminium.
