Monty Python is overrated.
I know it was ground breaking stuff at the time but its fairly flogged to death at this stage. The lads seemed to have spent the last 50 years clapping themselves on the back on the strength of it and Cleese seems like a particularly odious cunt.

In fairness, they all went off and did loads of other stuff. Palin did the travel stuff for years, cleese is in a shitload of movies, gilliam directed movies, jones did the history stuff and idle did musicals.

the law of diminishing returns, because itâs around so much youâve seen it so often and its diluted the humour. The Holy Grail is nearly 50 years old and Iâd still get a laugh off it. If you seen it for the first time it would still be funny.

Itâs affectionate, but patronizing.
I think there was a lot of hit and miss with MP, but when it hit, it hit like little did before or after.
Cleese did big company pep talks. Made a fortune out of it.
