Few lads I know have booked Masters next year. 4 night package with tickets for Fri-Sun and tented ent with booze and food every day and they get in a round somewhere too. Some UK travel co - 6k. Given no holidays last year and prob this year, they thought it worth a go.

Lot of wedge but 20 times the life experience of a Rugby World Cup. Augusta City just outside the course is supposed to be an awful kip, nice few murders every day. Where would be the nearest point of craic I wonder.

Personally I’d stay in SC. There’s lovely towns less than an hour from Augusta, Greenwood for example. The Carolinas are lovely.
I passed through Augusta years ago. It’s dog rough. Drove past the entrance to the golf course. You’d almost miss it. It’s in a suburban enough area as golf courses in the States go as they tend to be well out of town.
