It’s not my bag but genuinely thought price would be double or more. These lads play a lot of the old Scottish courses so gave it a go. Soccer fans would think nothing of dropping 2-3k on a champions league final ticket.
Lads would end up paying that for a week watching Ireland being hammered in a big tournament. And then they’d have to spend more money to buy new shoes when they get home
Shoes off for McIlroy
And with Delaney gone, you wouldn’t even get a few free cans
That’s cracking value in fairness given so much is added in. I was looking at tickets for the Friday of Wimbledon and they cost nearly 8k. If st Marks basilica wins the Guineas I’ll consider it.
Oooft! Interesting thread. Read the responses.
Wonder why McGinley felt the need to steam in there.
They’re all licking hole, butch is the worst, never has anything even remotely critical to say
I looked up McGinley’s record there. Didn’t realise the extent to which he was a journeyman player. He only played in the Augusta Masters twice. So in that 30 year career on tour he was referring to, he essentially only got himself into the Top 50 twice to make the field. Could Sky not have provided an analyst who can impart some know how and insight into the serious business of contending for and winning Majors?
Lads that win majors don’t need to be commenting on the telly
Any player that was at the business end of the Majors repeatedly doesn’t need to work for Sky, or anyone else
Snap
Faldo works for the Americans alright but hes a hungry cunt
Harrington was commentating for a while wasn’t he? Didn’t he give it up because of the Ryder cup.
No. Sure hes still active on both tours
Essential PR for course design work
Pretty sure he was doing a bit of commentary. I remember one player remarked he knew about their game than they did themselves. He defo done it for a spell.
Riley is the one that gives me ire.
You seem to have decided he did anyway. Did he do a Ryder cup when he wasnt involved or fill in when injured?
He did one masters when he was injured?
Harrington always comes across as a thoroughly alright if slightly demented man.
